N8N X NCW Hackathon - Opening

18:00 to 20:00

About this session

Earlier this week, our team received a bulletin from the European Space Weather Advisory Network about a minor solar event forecast for early May - coinciding with our time in Milano. While these events typically cause minimal disruptions (mostly affecting satellite communications), it got us thinking: what if we turned this into an opportunity for creativity?

  • 24-hour hackathon from Wednesday 6PM to Thursday 6PM

  • 10 teams of 3 people each (we'll carefully balance the teams based on experience)

  • Focus on creating automations with n8n that could theoretically work during connectivity issues

  • Prizes for the winning teams include Raspberry Pis and exclusive n8n merchandise

Host

Alex is the co-founder of No-Code House, which evolved over time into No-Code Week. In his everyday life, he has a background as a developer and is from the first generation of No-Coders in France. He co-founded the No-Code France community, grew a training company for No-Code Ops tools called Contournement, and runs several podcasts and a Twitch show - a relatively ordinary life, all things considered. For No-Code Week, Alex manages partner relationships and curates the schedule that you will enjoy during the event.

Former image reporter journalist, I turn to No-Code in 2019 and I become the first Frenchman to be a certified expert in Glide.

Since 2020, I have accompanied companies in learning and then building application on Glide. I have the chance to train students to discover and master the tools and the No-Code universe (ICART, ECV, ESD, ESP, EFAP, Paris 1, TSM, School W)

I also participate in the evangelization of No-Code since 2020 as co-founder of the No-Code France community (more than 12,000 members).

In 2023, I made Revolution No-Code, a documentary exploring people who make the No-Code and its importance in France.

Partner

n8n is a free and open node-based Workflow Automation Tool. It can be self-hosted, easily extended, and used with third party web applications or custom in-house tools to automate repetitive tasks. With n8n, for the first time, people can move beyond simple integrations to build multi-step workflows that combine both 3rd party APIs and your own internal tools to create easy to use automations that snap together all the pieces of what would otherwise be very complex, disconnected systems. n8n is headquartered in Berlin and was founded by Jan Oberhauser in 2019.
