Using AI and MCP to empower Visual Development 🔗
17:00 to 18:00
About this session
AI is not going to replace us any time soon, but it is going to empower visual developers (if you know how to leverage AI to your advantage).
In this workshop:
1️⃣ We are going to explore what is the MCP protocol, what are the key components and how we can make the most of it as visual developers.
2️⃣ We are going to build a local MCP server, the goal is to understand how an MCP Server is structured and how to identify vulnerabilities.
3️⃣ We are going to install Notion's official MCP server and make changes to our pages/databases using Claude's agentic capabilities.
4️⃣ We are going to create a remote MCP Server using Xano's visual builder with authentication, that will allow Claude's agent to use tools remotely.
After this session you should have a more technical understanding of how local/remote MCP servers operate, so you can start experimenting with official MCP servers or build your own.
Please read the following requirements, make sure to meet them all so we only focus on building during the workshop: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O2KNZXYQnhkN8Od1OkPwxrbbDSHFxDYxpPDedoJdPhE/edit?usp=sharing
See you soon!

I'm a civil engineer that switched paths in 2019, after working in a startup of the construction industry in Germany, I fell in love with technology. That's when my path to become a Software Engineer started, I learned to code by myself and quickly moved to No Code platforms as they boosted my productivity, and after a year I was able to land Jobs in agencies and got clients as a Freelancer. Now I work full time in a startup, but I love to build stuff on my free time.
