Using AI and MCP to empower Visual Development 🔗

Monday 5th, 16:30 to 17:30

About this session

In the era of AI, is tempting to use a tool like Cursor or Windsurf to start developing apps using just natural language, but... how good is the result? Are vibe coded apps scalable/maintainable? Is visual development going to be replaced by AI/Vibe coding?

Well, in this workshop we are going to discuss why AI is not going to replace us any time soon, but it is going to empower visual developers if you know how to leverage AI to your advantage.

In this workshop:

1️⃣ We are going to start with a friendly discussion about the role of visual developers in the era of AI, if it is a threat or an opportunity, and if it is worth learning to code to make the most of this new wave.

2️⃣ We are going to talk about MCP servers, what they are and how they can empower visual development connecting LLMs to your favorite No-Code tools.

3️⃣ We are going to use Claude or Cursor to connect a Notion using an MCP server to our LLM, so we can update and retrieve Notion pages and databases using just natural language.

The goal is that after this session you can get back home and start connecting your own favorite tools.

Host

I'm a civil engineer that switched paths in 2019, after working in a startup of the construction industry in Germany, I fell in love with technology. That's when my path to become a Software Engineer started, I learned to code by myself and quickly moved to No Code platforms as they boosted my productivity, and after a year I was able to land Jobs in agencies and got clients as a Freelancer. Now I work full time in a startup, but I love to build stuff on my free time.
